If the skirting board that needs to be fixed with nails is used, before driving the nails, the putty knife can also be used to slightly scrape the wall at the position of the nail holes to make it easier for the nails to be driven in accurately.
And after the installation is completed, the putty knife can also be used to scrape off and clean up the adhesive that may overflow or the putty used to fill the nail holes, so that the skirting board presents an overall beautiful and tidy appearance.
