Notice how putty knives are flying off the shelves lately? What's up with that? Well, there are a few reasons these simple tools are having a moment.
First off, DIY projects are huge right now. People are spending more time at home, and what better way to pass the time than sprucing up the place?
Whether it's patching a hole from a rogue basketball or painting the old windows, a putty knife is a must - have. It's like the Swiss Army knife of home improvement, but without all the extra gadgets you never use.
Another reason is that more people are into sustainable, budget - friendly renovations. Instead of tearing down a whole wall or replacing expensive stuff, a putty knife lets you fix and refresh what you've got. It's a cheap way to make your space feel new. And let's not forget the satisfaction of doing it yourself-there's something awesome about using a simple tool like a putty knife to turn a worn - out area into something nice.
Plus, putty knives have gotten way better. They're more comfortable to hold, with handles that don't make your hand ache after a while. The blades are better too-stay sharp and don't rust as easy. So they're not just useful, they're actually nice to work with.
And if you scroll through home decor posts online, you know smooth, perfect walls are in. Whether you're going for a minimalist look or showing off a bold paint color, a putty knife is key to getting that finish. No wonder everyone's grabbing them this season.
